Help on choosing a tiara

Hairband Tiara

The hairband style tiara can be worn eithier as a hairband or sit on the head like a traditional tiara. They are made with flexible hair-bands making them comfortable to wear, suitable for brides and bridesmaids.

Traditional Tiara

The traditional tiara shape should be worn mid way between the fore-head and the crown in an upright position. The tiara shouldn't be worn on the head like a hairband as you want it to stand up and not be flat to your head. You can ask your hairdresser for advice on securing your tiara on your wedding day that will match your hairstyle.

Tiara Combs

Tiara combs are an alternative to other tiaras and can be used with your hair-up or hair-down. With the comb in the hair, this will give the appearance of a tiara without the band.

Hair-Accessories

Hair-accessories are very versatile especially if you are still to decide on your hair style for the wedding day. They can be attached to tiny metal combs or hair-pins and can be used to accessorise many varieties of hair-style.

Which tiara suites me?

When choosing a tiara, you should consider the shape and style as the tiara should compliment you and your dress. The shape of your face is also important when choosing your tiara. The tiara should frame your face and compliment you, not over power you.

For a round face, a tall tiara will add length to your face.
If you have an oval face, you can wear most tiara styles but don't wear a tiara with a peak in the centre.
If you have a long face, you should wear a low tiara of even height across the head to give width at the sides or you could choose an Alice band.
For a heart shaped face, a tiara with a peak will work very well.

If you are wearing a veil that has a piece that goes over the face, make sure your tiara is not delicate
